The Silverstone Classic Live Online Auction 2020 31st July & 1st August 2020 1 + buyer’s premium of 15% (including VAT at 20%) Welcome Hello and welcome to our flagship auction of the year! Ordinarily we would be at Silverstone Circuit for this auction, forming part of the annual Silverstone Classic weekend. The event was sadly, but understandably, unable to go ahead this year, but we are delighted that we are able to hold our auction in the live online format. The support for this auction has been nothing short of phenomenal. This catalogue of classic and competition cars has got to be one of our best yet, and over two days we will be offering £20million worth of cars, motorbikes, automobilia, registration numbers and even a boat - formerly owned by Sir Roger Moore. We have four significant collections of cars in this auction: The SA-30 Collection, The Anthony Hamilton Collection, The Stuttgart Collection, and the Warwickshire Collection. All four are private collections of beautiful classic cars and you will find each one highlighted as you go through the catalogue. There are two cars I would like to mention, on the cover of this catalogue is an exceptional 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV which is the ultimate spec and is one of just 11 right-hand drive examples. Secondly, the restored 1961 Jaguar E-Type Roadster (Chassis 850062), which is a matching numbers, really early flat-floor example with the outside bonnet locks. I am thrilled that Silverstone Auctions has the opportunity to offer both of these cars, in our flagship sale. I would like to take the opportunity to encourage you to book your appointment to view the lots at our centrally located storage facility. We are offering a two-week window (16 – 30 July) where you can inspect the lot(s) of interest as well as the history files. To reserve your appointment, please contact the team on 01926 691141, where full details will be provided. To bid in this auction you have a choice of three methods, online with either of our bidding partners (Proxibid or The Saleroom), on the telephone, or via a commission bid. Further details on these are in the following pages, alternatively visit our website, to register. Thank you for your continued support, we hope you enjoy the sale and happy bidding!
