The May Live Online Auction 2020 23rd May 2020

www.silverstoneauctions.com 1 + buyer’s premium of 10% + VAT @ 20% Welcome Hello and welcome to our very first live online auction! Ordinarily I would be welcoming you to an event somewhere in the Midlands region of the UK. However, like everyone else, Silverstone Auctions had to respond to the threat of Covid-19 and how we run our auctions. I am delighted to say that we have been able to find a safe and responsible way of continuing to function as a classic car auction house for both our sellers and buyers. A live online auction is essentially a ‘closed’ sale, where you can bid and watch our auctioneer live, all from your own home. Bidding will be available via three methods; online via two partners (Proxibid and The Saleroom), on the telephone, or via a commission (pre) bid. For this sale, our buyers premium is 10% (12% including VAT). If you are reading this ahead of the sale date itself (23rd May) you can book an appointment for a one to one viewing of the lots, which will take place at our central storage facility. To do this, please contact the member of staff associated with the vehicle of interest or call us on 01926 691141. We are operating to strict Covid-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment. As ever, the catalogue of cars for this sale is truly fantastic; among the lot list there are two collections of cars (Lots 101 – 116 and 117 – 131), an original Land Rover Defender from the Bond film Spectre and a 1984 Peugeot T16 ‘Group B’ – to name just a few . 84 classic cars are offered for sale, so take your time browsing this e-catalogue and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss a car further. Looking ahead at the rest of the year, our next sale will take place on Saturday 11th July as a live online auction. Beyond that, if our event-based auctions are unable to go ahead, we will continue with our live online auctions and we are welcoming best of breed examples for these auctions. Thank you for your continued support, we hope you enjoy the sale and happy bidding! Nick Whale Managing Director, Silverstone Auctions
