The Dawn of Motoring Sale 2023 4th August 2023

1 Welcome Following the success of our inaugural Dawn of Motoring Sale last year, we are delighted to welcome you back to The Lygon Arms in the quintessential English village of Broadway, Worcestershire. We have a superb selection of pre-war motor cars and automobilia items which are showcased in this catalogue, with further images and video content on our website. Amongst the impressive and rare cars offered for auction is a stunning 1911 Vauxhall Prince Henry 3-Litre which has been painstakingly restored to replicate the Works Russian Reliability Trial car of 1911. We also have a beautiful 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I which has been subject to a recently completed, long-term restoration, with no expense spared. Our automobilia auction features an array of Lots which are in-keeping with the pre-war period, including an extremely rare late 1930s ‘Daimler Sport’ pedal car and a scale replica Jaguar SS100 electric children’s car. We invite you to join us for a glass of Champagne or Pimms in the formal gardens of the stunning Lygon Arms hotel on the auction day, Friday 4th August from 12 noon. All of the lots in the auction will be available for viewing from 9am; this is your opportunity to inspect the vehicles and their associated history files prior to bidding. Our team of specialists will be on hand to assist you and answer any questions you may have. For this outdoor sale, you will also be able to hear the vehicles run. The auction will begin at 1:30pm with automobilia, directly followed by cars at approximately 3pm. Bidding will be available in person but if you are unable to join us in Broadway, we offer three additional bidding options: online, by phone or via commission.
