The fifth and final car to leave the works was built in 1994 by Dave Brodie on behalf of a customer and returned to him in 1995. After a period of being stored, the opportunity to race in Formula Saloons and Ford Saloons was taken up by David’s son, James, who used this car to compete in the UK series. David however continued to enthral crowds with a few demonstration laps in the Cosworth wherever possible. From 2003, it was stored at Brodie Brittain Racing until being prepared for our sale at Silverstone Festival. It has had recent refurbishment at Sierra ‘Group A’ experts Premier Motorsport, who have gone through the car, making sure to retain its period features. The engine is the long-stud 200 block, with Cosworth piston and rings, and features shot-peened con-rods, a balanced crank, a WRC head gasket and BD16 and BD14 camshafts. The head has 26.5mm inlet and 25mm exhaust ports with Piper valve springs and the inlet manifold is a new AS unit with Siemens injectors. The turbo is a ball-bearing Garrett GT3071 with internally waste gate and it has a new high- pressure oil pump, new cam belt, alternator and new water pump. With a look that defined the greatest era of British Touring Cars, this very well-presented period Cosworth would be welcome at a myriad of motorsport events. Ex-Dave/James Brodie, built by BBR in 1994, on offer from a private Collection and fully refreshed by Premier Motorsport prior to the sale. More Details Lot 315 Bid On Lot 315
