The Classic Sale At Silverstone Festival 25th - 27th August 2023

The Classic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2023 Cars 180 Registration: BF59 FTN Chassis No.: SALLDHAS7AA782684 Estimate: £42,000 - £52,000 Specialist: Harry Whale Telephone No: 07919 887374 Lot 672 2009 Land Rover Defender 110 - Soft Top Conversion An icon for over 68 years, production of Land Rover’s Defender ceased in January 2016 with more than 2,000,000 having been built since the original Series I arrived in 1948. Never has there been a car that has so captured the imagination of the world. Land Rovers have saved lives, won wars, delivered aid and hope, conveyed Kings and Queens and numerous Popes, ferried injured animals from the lowliest sheep to the proudest lion to safety. The Land Rover has conquered ravines, deserts and snow, broken records and, along the way, won the hearts of millions. Offered here is a 2009 110 Defender fitted with the 2.4-litre TDCi four-cylinder turbo-diesel offering 120bhp. It has covered a mere 35,000 miles from new, having been stored by previous owners for a few years due to work commitments, and was purchased by our vendor at the start of 2022. After some consideration, he decided to carry out a soft top conversion and the work included creating a canopy and roll cage with sides and rear able to roll up, a bespoke Iroko wood floor, front, rear and tailgate was fitted, and rear bench seats with seatbelts were installed (three persons each side). Additional enhancements included matching seat covers all round, a wood-rim steering wheel, a rear wheel- carrier and a ‘Heritage’ grille upgrade. Finished in its original Keswick Green and sitting on a set of factory ‘Boost’ alloys wearing B.F Goodrich ‘All Terrain’ tyres, this Defender looks seriously cool in our opinion. Now offering multipurpose use, this is a sensibly-priced, low-mileage and interesting adaptation and we encourage interested parties to come see the car for themselves at the Silverstone Festival. A low-mileage Defender 110, professionally converted to a ‘soft top’ and very impressively presented. More Details Lot 672 Bid On Lot 672
