With a Cosworth-designed 5.9-litre V12 producing a smooth 420bhp, eased into the svelte Ian Callum masterpiece, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its six-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. The Vantage interior was taken to a new level and the bespoke leather trim was cut and sewn at a special trim shop at Newport Pagnell, where the carpet and wood were also prepared. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, an enlarged grille, the addition of fog lamps, and restyled valances, all resulting in a much more purposeful look. The car presented here is a 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage with the all-important ‘driver’s choice’ manual gearbox. This elegant modern-classic is as good as you’d hope for, in the stylish colour combination of Grigio Titanio over Charcoal hide with Burr Walnut veneers. It also benefits from a reassuringly thorough service history to validate its very conservative 46,000 miles. It was delivered new on 6th October 2000 via Aston Martin Lancaster in Reading, returning there for servicing up to just under 15,000 miles. The stamped-up service booklet (see images) then goes on to show servicing with main dealers/marque specialists right through until the most recent one at Aston Martin Bristol, in February 2022 at 45,373 miles (having only covered a few hundred miles since). The current owner has had the car for the last 13-years, with only four previous owners, all of whom have clearly kept it in very fine fettle. It still retains its complete book- pack and is adorned by upgraded (and handsome) ‘Jaffa’ rear lights (á la 1990s supercharged V8 Vantage) and front grille, both of which, we believe, are part of the Driving Dynamic package. In our opinion, a DB7 Vantage is unmatched in terms of luxury, heritage and performance by any contemporary model for sale today. It is eminently suitable for mature enthusiasts, first time owner-drivers or a collector, all of whom will appreciate the condition, low-mileage and pedigree of a modern-classic that is as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at. A superbly specified Vantage model, with low-ownership and just 46,000 miles supported by a comprehensive service history. More Details Lot 629 Bid On Lot 629
