2 The Classic Sale at Silverstone Key Sale Information Please note – admission to the auction hall is by catalogue only. Viewing Friday 26th 09:00 – 18:00 and Saturday 27th August from 09:00 until the auction commences. Auctions Automobilia – 10:30 Friday 26th August Motorcycles – 15:00 Friday 26th August Motor Cars – 10:30 Saturday 27th August The auctioneer will aim to sell approximately 60-80 lots of automobilia per hour and 25-30 vehicles. Event tickets The auction is part of The Classic at Silverstone event. Three days of motorsport, a world exclusive display of all seven of Lewis Hamilton’s championship-winning cars and a display from the latest generation of Formula 1 Grand Prix cars. There’s also live music, food, displays of unique and iconic cars and other entertainment. Admission is not included in the price of the catalogue. Tickets can be purchased via the Silverstone website www.silverstone.co.uk/events/the-classic/prices. Auction customers can get a 10% discount off tickets using the following code SILAUC22 for individual day tickets or SILAUC22WE for three-day weekend tickets. Buyer’s premium Like the majority of auctioneers, Silverstone Auctions charge a buyer’s premium. Our buyer’s premium charge for motor vehicles is 12.5% + VAT (15% including VAT) on the first £300,000 of the hammer price and 10% + VAT (12% including VAT) on the balance thereafter. Automobilia is 20% + VAT (24% including VAT) and number plates are 10% + VAT (12% including VAT). VAT Some lots may be subject to VAT on the hammer and buyer’s premium and some may be subject to import VAT on the hammer only. These lots will be clearly marked in the catalogue. All other lots will be sold using the Auctioneers Margin Scheme (VAT Notice 718/2). VAT will not be charged on the hammer price. The VAT on the buyer’s premium will not be split out on the invoice and cannot be reclaimed by UK VAT-registered businesses or individuals. Further duties and VAT may be applicable on exporting lots from the UK. It is the responsibility of the buyer to settle these charges. Payments All payments are due by 5pm on Monday 29th August. Payment should be made by bank transfer where possible. Please note our bank account details: sort code 20-98-87, account number 30223379. Card payments can be made (in person only) as follows: debit card payments up to £20,000 and credit card up to £5,000. Cash payments are not permitted. Collection Please note – due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the venue by 2pm on Monday 29th August. Full payment must be received before any item is available to be released. Motor vehicles Vehicles can be collected from The Wing on Monday 29th August between 9am and 2pm. Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Any cars not collected by 2pm on Monday 29th August will be taken to EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 + VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 + VAT per day from the Monday onwards. Motorcycles Motorcycles can be collected from The Wing on Friday 29th August after the auction finishes until 7pm. Any motorcycles not collected by 7pm on Friday 26th August will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a fee of £50 + VAT, including three days storage. Storage will be charged at £5 + VAT per day thereafter. Automobilia Automobilia can be collected from The Wing over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am and 12pm by prior arrangement. After this time it can be collected from our offices in Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
