130 The Classic Sale at Silverstone - Cars Registration: TBA Chassis No.: SCBDK23W3BC068031 Estimate: £50,000 - £60,000 Lot 443 2010 Bentley GTC Supersports In 2009, Bentley unveiled their new Continental Supersports which was indecently quick with 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 202mph, making it the fastest and the most powerful production Bentley ever. The twin-turbocharged, 6.0-litre W12 engine produced 621bhp and 590lbs/ft of torque and is capable of running on both gasoline and E85 bioethanol. With a revised ZF automatic gearbox employing a quick-shift system, gear change times were reduced by 50%. In order to cope with the increased power, it was necessary to fit carbon fibre-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic disc brakes - the largest and most powerful brakes ever fitted to a production car. A Supersports GTC is a rare and desirable car and this, UK-supplied, right-hand drive example, is finished in the desirable combination of Onyx Black with a black convertible roof. The interior is a very special place with both primary and secondary hides in Beluga Black with matching carpets and seatbelts lifted by the Porpoise Grey piping on the seats and doors and Porpoise cross-stitching on the quilted seat centres and matching emblems. A tiny flash of colour is provided by the red stitching on the Alcantara steering wheel picking up the red needles on the 7,000rpm tachometer and the 200mph speedometer. A cockpit this special needs an audio system of equal quality and a factory-fitted Naim Audio (3000 watt), a very rare option, was specified from new. The individual specification is impressive and a full spec sheet from Bentley, which runs to six pages, can be provided upon request. Our vendor informs us however that this particular car was interestingly specified with a number of carbon features which include the below; • Full carbon ceramic brake package • All interior inserts in carbon • Carbon Breitling clock • Carbon magnesium alloys • Full carbon engine bay covers • Carbon door treadplates Just 52,360 miles (at the time of cataloguing) have been covered by the Bentley’s five owners and it’s been with our enthusiastic private vendor since 2019. He confirms that it boasts a full Bentley service history with the most recent taking place in August 2021 (including spark plugs and coils £3,600) and other recent attention includes new carbon ceramic brakes (£4,500). It appears that this fabulous motor car has always been maintained without consideration of cost.
