4 The Classic Sale at Silverstone 2021 Key Sale Information VIEWING Viewing is available at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN from 9am to 6pm on Friday 30th July and Saturday 31st July and 9am to 5pm on Sunday 1st August. EVENT TICKETS The auction is part of The Classic at Silverstone event which is a ticketed event. If you would like to attend in person you can purchase tickets via https://www. silverstone.co.uk/events/the-classic/tickets. Upon arrival at Silverstone Circuit, ticket holders can reach the auction hall by walking to car park 49 and utilising our bus which will take you to the The Wing building. BUYER’S PREMIUM Like the majority of auctioneers, Silverstone Auctions charge a buyer’s premium. Our buyers premium charge is 12.5% +VAT (15% including VAT) on motor vehicles, 20% +VAT (24% including VAT) on automobilia and watches and 10% +VAT (12% including VAT) on number plates. VAT Some lots may be subject to VAT on the hammer and buyers premium and some may be subject to import VAT on the hammer only. These lots will be clearly marked in the catalogue. All other lots will be sold using the Auctioneers Margin Scheme (VAT Notice 718/2). VAT will not be charged on the hammer price. The VAT on the buyers premium will not be split out on the invoice and cannot be reclaimed by UK VAT registered businesses or individuals. Further duties and VAT may be applicable on exporting lots from the UK. It is the responsibility of the buyer to settle these charges. ONLINE BIDDING Please note that online bidding with The Saleroom and Proxibid incurs an additional surcharge of 1% plus VAT of the hammer price. PAYMENTS All payments are due by 5pm on Monday 2nd August 2021. Please note we need to clear of the venue by 3pm on Monday 2nd therefore any cars not paid for by this time will be taken to EM Rogers. Card payments can be made (in person only) as follows: debit card payments up to £20,000 and credit card up to £5,000. Cash payments are not permitted.
