2 The Classic Sale at Silverstone 2021 Ways to bid Registering to bid Please note - we are anticipating high levels of registrations for the sale. Please register using your preferred method as soon as possible, at least 48 hours before the sale, to allow sufficient time for your registration to be processed. At the beginning of 2021 we launched a new website and if you are registering via this for the first time this year, you will need to create a new account. Once you have done this, please then submit your registration directly against the lot(s) you wish to bid on. Bidding in the room The auction is part of The Classic at Silverstone event which is a ticketed event. If you would like to attend in person you can purchase tickets via www.silverstone. co.uk/events/the-classic/tickets Commission bid A commission bid is the maximum amount you are willing to bid up to (excluding the buyers premium and VAT). We will execute your bid as low as possible on your behalf. You can register via our website or by emailing bid@silverstoneauctions.com Telephone bidding Telephone bidding will still allow you to bid live. On the day of the sale a member of the Silverstone Auctions team will contact you, usually a few lots prior to your selected lots, and will guide you through the process. You can also leave a commission bid in the event that we are unable to contact you via telephone. You can register in person when viewing lots prior to the auction, via our website or by emailing bid@silverstoneauctions.com. Online Bidding We are pleased to announce that you can now bid live online on the day via our website. You will need to register an account on our website www. silverstoneauctions.com to be able to do this. There is no additional fee for online bidding via our website. Silverstone Auctions has also partnered with Proxibid and The Saleroom. Registration for internet bidding with our partners is done on their respective websites.
