This open two-seater was specified finished in glorious Primrose Yellow and is presented for auction finished in the same colour with engine numbers matching the Jaguar Trust Heritage Certificate. The E-Type was enjoyed by several owners until the millennium when the car was subject to a complete ground-up exacting restoration by a highly regarded Jaguar specialist. The quality of the workmanship was exceptional and has stood up to the test of time. Within the large history file are over 3,000 images documenting the fastidious specialist attention from start to finish along with invoices amounting to over £100,000. Around 2002, the pin-sharp E-Type landed in the showroom of Eagle, where Henry Pearman and his specialist team offered upgrades from their workshops. Initially the car was upgraded by fitting a new type of seat with greater lateral and lumbar support, fitting a new type of power steering to improve driver response and upgrades to both the suspension and brakes. Wider wire wheels with more modern and lower profile Pirelli tyres were also fitted to further improve the handling and ride compromise. Following on from the initial works the E-Type returned to Eagle in 2004 for further upgrades including a 5-speed gearbox (original box included), uprated camshafts, Eagle sports seats, custom door mirrors, a stereo system, modern wiper system, security system, electronic ignition, modern fuel pump, modern cooling system, Kevlar hoses, uprated heating system, performance shocks, SS exhaust, performance brake hoses, Halogen lamps and wider wheels with modern tyres. GT-specification upgrades included, GT torsion bars and springs, GT poly bushes, adjustable ride height, sports steering wheel, harmonic crank-damper, high-power brake servo and a lightweight starter motor. The Jaguar is accompanied by a large history file with the supporting restoration evidence, invoices and documentation from Eagle, the Heritage Certificate, Eagle sales literature, Eagle check-over documents, Eagle service documents and various other items of paperwork. The private registration number, 133 EE, is included in the sale. As you can see in our professional images, today this special and unique E-Type presents like new, perhaps better than new. Care and attention from the leading Jaguar marque experts in the world makes this example incredibly desirable, more enjoyable, more reliable and a great proposition. We are informed that current delivery for a bespoke Eagle E-Type runs into 2027 such is the demand for their outstanding product. This incredible example is not to be confused with a bespoke, in- house Eagle E-Type restored car.
