We are delighted to be the official auction partner for the eighth consecutive year at the UK’s biggest classic car show, and this year the event is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The catalogue for our two-day sale features 115 outstanding classic cars, three motorbikes and 200 items of automotive memorabilia. Take your time in exploring the lot lists for the weekend; the team have put together a fantastic selection of unrepeatable examples for your consideration. Opening the classic car sale on Saturday is a No Reserve 1991 Golf GTi Rivage Cabriolet, all proceeds from the sale of this car will be going to the South Yorkshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Furthermore, the opening lots in the automobilia sale on both Saturday and Sunday are from a private collection and the hammer price for those sold will be donated to the charity, Hope for Tomorrow. On Saturday we will have Channel 4 in attendance as lot 216, a 1989 Porsche 928 GT Manual, is being offered for sale as part of a pilot for a new TV series. Focused around the recommissioning of the car, you can read more about this exciting project on our website. As ever, we have a range of classic cars with wonderful provenance. Lot 411 is the ex- Works 1955 Le Mans 24-Hours TR2, this is a historically important race car and is estimated at £100,000 – £140,000. We are also offering a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette (C2) Stingray which was originally supplied new to Sir Cliff Richard OBE, this will be offered in our Saturday sale and is estimated at £50,000 – £60,000. Continuing with the celebrity provenance, we also have a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Coupe which was first owned by the sixties popstar, LuLu. Estimated at £65,000 – £75,000, this will go under the hammer on Sunday.
