Graypaul serviced no less than ten times! • Impressive specification and superb condition throughout • With its 6.0-litre V12, the 599 is capable of 0-62mph in an incredible 3.7 seconds The 599 replaced the 575 in the summer of 2006 and brought the front-engined V12 Ferrari slap bang into the modern age. Whereas the 550 and 575, even at their introduction, always felt like modern classics, the 599 was every inch a new-age Ferrari: all-aluminium chassis, lashings of glossy carbon fibre, F1 SuperFast gearbox, F1-Trac stability and traction control, magnetic semi-active dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes, all wrapped in aggressive, aero-optimised bodywork with minimal overhangs and maximum presence. Top billing, though, went to the engine - a lightly modified version of the Enzo’s 6-litre V12 with a mighty 611bhp at 7600rpm, endowing Ferrari’s new series- production flagship with truly sensational performance: 0-60 in 3.5sec, 0-100 in 7.4 and 205mph. This, fabulous 599 GTB Fiorano is a 2007 UK-supplied, right-hand drive example that is finished in striking Nero Daytona Metallic with Rosso leather and has covered just 26,000 miles from new in the care of its two former keepers. The specification of this particular 599 is impressive as it’s fitted with the optional 20 inch, ‘Monlithic’-twin-spoke alloys, carbon-ceramic brakes with brake calipers in yellow, front and rear parking sensors and electric, heated carbon fibre Daytona seats. This 599 also benefits from the ‘Carbon fibre driving zone’ which consists of a carbon fibre steering wheel along with carbon fibre paddle-shifts and tachometer ring. It also has the optional rev counter in yellow with a BOSE surround-sound system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. Looking at the condition of this example it has clearly been cherished throughout its life. Indeed, it’s been serviced by Graypaul Ferrari no less than 10 times, with the most recent being at Meridien Moderna in July 2018. This is an outstanding and sensibly priced 599 which would make a great entry into the amazing world of front-engined, V-12, two-seater sports cars.
