The Ferrari and Porsche Sale 21st September 2019

Ferrari and Porsche Sale 2019 102 2.30pm The Porsche Sale Lot 426 Registration: CE65 HVG Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ98ZGK195984 Engine Number: 2544 Estimate: £60,000 - £70,000 • A rare, right-hand drive , Cayman GT4 with only 4,300 miles from new. Purchased by our vendor through Romans in December 2015 • Superbly finished in Carrera White with platinum grey stitched black hide • ‘Sport Chrono’ option, PCM, sound package, heated seats and the carbon interior pack • Most recently serviced by Porsche Centre Silverstone in 2017 • Will be supplied with a new set of tyres and ready to go. Very competitively guided Positioned between the Cayman GTS and the 911 GT3, the Cayman GT4 was launched in 2015 and built at Porsche’s Weissach ‘Motorsportzentrum’ using a stiffened and strengthened Cayman bodyshell as a starting point and lowered and fitted with as many GT3 parts as possible. The front axle and suspension are borrowed from the 911 GT3 although the rear axle and forged aluminium double wishbone suspension are completely new. Dampers are taken from the GT3 as is the electric steering system which is equipped with new software which, according to one much respected journalist, is “the most perfect electronic power steering system you’ll ever use”. Stopping power is provided by standard steel brakes, or the optional carbon-ceramics from the GT3. The forged 20in alloy wheels are new and are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. The rear 295/30 ZR20 tyres are bespoke, but the front 245/35 ZR20s are borrowed from the GT3 as they apparently were “a perfect match”. Mounted midships is a reworked version of the Carrera S’ 3.8-litre, flat-six engine, producing 385bhp at 7400rpm and 310 lb/ft at 4750-6000rpm. It is hooked up to a modified version of the Cayman GTS’ six-speed manual gearbox and although a PDK dual-clutch automatic was considered, it was never used, meaning the Cayman GT4 is manual only. The goal was to create a “zero lift car”, but thanks to the extensive aerodynamic and cooling package on the car – which includes a front splitter, a larger front grille and increased frontal air intakes, side air intakes, two rear spoilers and a fully functional diffuser – the Cayman GT4 produces as much downforce at speed (100kg) as the 911 GT3. Inside, the steering wheel is new for the GT4 and the heated sports seats are taken from the 918 and trimmed in both leather and Alcantara as are the door trims. Standard equipment includes red brake calipers, sports exhaust, electric heated mirrors, LED rear lights, PASM, PTM, grey top-tint screen, and black rear wing supports. This 2015 Cayman GT4 is finished in Carrera White with 20” GT4 alloys painted in Satin Black and was optioned from new with PCM, carbon interior package, sport chrono package, Bi-Xenon headlights including PDLS and the Sound Package Plus. It was first registered on 16th October 2015, has been enjoyed by two previous owners, and has currently covered 4,277 miles. There is an invoice for £590 in the file from Porsche Centre Silverstone dated 13th October 2017 that relates to an ‘Intermediate Service’ and we understand that the car will be fitted with two new tyres prior to the sale. The sublime Cayman GT4 displays such startling poise and fluency that it may well be considered in the future to be one of the best handling Porsches ever, suggesting that this lovely, low-mileage, sensibly guided-example might be rather a shrewd purchase. 2015 Porsche Cayman GT4 More Images Lot 426 Bid On Lot 426
